Nanonets pricing starts free with $50 in credits and no card, then $100 a month for 100 credits on the Starter plan. Usage is billed per block run: $0.02 for simple steps like formatting and export, $0.10 for standard AI like classification, and $0.30 for complex AI like data extraction. Growth and Enterprise are quote only, with volume discounts up to 40%.

That means there is no single price per page. A receipt that only needs extraction and an export costs about 32 cents in blocks. An invoice that runs through classification, validation and export costs more, and Nanonets itself says a typical invoice workflow runs four to six blocks, which it puts at under $2 per invoice end to end. Below is the full rate card as Nanonets publishes it, a cost table per receipt and per invoice built from those rates, and the cases where a flat priced extraction tool gets you the same spreadsheet for less.

Nanonets states there are no platform fees and no seat licenses, and that credits are shared across the team and never expire. Existing customers on older plans are told to contact their account manager, which matters if you are comparing a renewal quote against this page.

How Nanonets bills per block run

Every step in a Nanonets workflow is a block, and every time a block runs it counts as one run. Total cost is the number of runs multiplied by the block price.

Block typePrice per runExamples Nanonets gives
Simple operations$0.02Formatting, routing, export
Standard AI$0.10Classification, validation
Complex AI$0.30Data extraction, generative AI

The pricing page describes Starter as $100 a month for 100 credits, which reads as one credit per dollar. The block prices are stated in dollars, so the arithmetic below uses dollars directly. If your quote converts credits differently, swap in your own rate.

Nanonets cost per receipt and per invoice

This is our arithmetic from the published block prices, not a Nanonets figure. Two workflows are shown. Extraction only is one complex AI block plus one export, $0.32 a document. A light invoice flow adds a classification and a validation step, $0.52 a document. Real AP workflows with lookups, approvals and posting run longer.

Documents a monthNanonets, extraction only ($0.32)Nanonets, 4 block invoice flow ($0.52)ReceiptOCR
100$32$52$49 Starter, or $24 a month billed yearly
500$160$260$49 Starter
1,000$320$520$49 Starter
2,500$800$1,300$49 Starter (2,500 Base AI pages)
10,000$3,200, or $1,920 at the full 40% discount$5,200, or $3,120 at 40% off$149 Plus (10,000 Base AI pages)

Our plans count pages, so a three page invoice uses three pages, and the Pro AI model has a smaller allowance (500 pages on Starter, 2,000 on Plus). Even allowing for that, a business whose job ends at a clean spreadsheet pays a fraction of the block cost. That gap is the whole decision: Nanonets prices the automation around the document, and we price the reading.

Is Nanonets free?

Nanonets is free to start, not free to keep. Every account gets $50 in credits with no card required, which at our extraction only arithmetic covers about 156 receipts. After that, Starter is $100 a month for 100 credits. Several review sites still quote $200 in free credits, which is an older offer that no longer appears on the pricing page.

Why review sites quote $499 a month and $0.30 a page

Search results for Nanonets pricing mix three generations of the rate card. Older reviews describe a Pro tier around $499 a month for 5,000 pages with an overage per page, a pay as you go rate of $0.30 per page, and $200 in starter credits. The current page has none of those plans. The $0.30 survives as the complex AI block price, which is why it still looks familiar, but it is now charged per block run rather than per page. If a comparison article lists a Pro plan, it is describing legacy pricing.

Does Nanonets charge per user?

No. Nanonets says there are no seat licenses. Starter allows up to three users, and Growth adds team wide credit sharing, so cost follows the number of block runs, not headcount. That is the same principle we use: ReceiptOCR is priced by pages processed with no seat charge on any plan.

Do Nanonets credits expire?

No. The pricing FAQ states that credits are prepaid, shared across the team and never expire. Volume purchases unlock discounts of up to 40%, so a business with steady volume can lower its block cost by buying ahead, at the price of paying up front.

When Nanonets is worth the price

Buy Nanonets when the document is the start of a process. If an invoice has to be classified, matched to a purchase order, checked against rules, approved and posted into SAP, Oracle or NetSuite, you are paying for an automation platform, and four to six blocks per invoice is cheap next to a person doing the same steps. The Enterprise tier also covers needs we do not: HIPAA, private cloud or on premises deployment, data residency in the US, EU or APAC, SSO with SCIM and audit logs. Nanonets now sells its workflows as agents, and if you are comparing several ready made AI agents for back office work, its block pricing is at least published, which many rivals do not do.

Nanonets Starter also includes API access, which ours does not until the Pro plan at $499 a month. A developer who needs an extraction API for under a few hundred documents a month may find Nanonets Starter the cheaper entry, and the wider API market is priced side by side in our OCR API pricing comparison.

When a flat priced extraction tool is cheaper

If the output you need is a spreadsheet or an import file, the extra blocks buy nothing. A bookkeeper turning a client backlog of receipts into rows, or an AP clerk keying vendor invoices into QuickBooks, needs merchant or vendor, date, tax, total and line items, then an export. That is one extraction step, and at volume it is where per block billing costs the most.

ReceiptOCR Starter is $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for 2,500 pages with line items, custom extraction templates, bulk upload of 50 files at once and Excel, CSV or QuickBooks export. Plus is $149 a month for 10,000 pages with unlimited pages per document. You can try it on your own files with the upload tool at the top of this page. For a full feature comparison, including what you give up by leaving a workflow platform, see our Nanonets alternative page, and for invoice heavy work the invoice processing software guide covers duplicate checks and PO matching.

If you are pricing other parsers against Nanonets, the same per page breakdown exists for Docparser pricing and Parsio pricing, both of which bill by page or credit rather than by workflow step.

How much does Nanonets cost per page?

Nanonets does not price per page. It prices per block run, so a page that only needs extraction and export costs about $0.32 at list prices, while a page that also goes through classification and validation costs about $0.52. Multi page documents and longer workflows cost more, and Growth customers can cut block prices by up to 40% with volume credits.

The short version

  • Starter: $50 in free credits, then $100 a month for 100 credits, up to 3 users, API included.
  • Billing unit: $0.02, $0.10 or $0.30 per block run, four to six blocks per typical invoice.
  • Growth and Enterprise: quote only, up to 40% volume discount, ERP connectors and compliance.
  • Cheaper route for spreadsheets: a per page extraction tool, from $49 a month for 2,500 pages.
