Docparser does publish rates, which puts it ahead of most document extraction vendors. The problem is that the pricing page shows three plan cards at a time and hides the rest of the ladder behind a slider you have to drag. Ten monthly tiers exist. Most buyers see three of them, price their project off the wrong one, and never find the add on card at the bottom.
One parsing credit equals one document with up to five pages. A single page receipt burns a whole credit. A five page invoice packet also burns one credit. If your documents are short, which receipts and one page bills always are, you pay the five page rate for one page of work.
The visible cards stop at Business. Drag the slider and Enterprise continues through 2,000, 4,000, 6,000, 8,000, 10,000, 14,000 and 18,000 credits a month before it turns into a quote. Nobody sizing a mid volume project can see those numbers without knowing the slider exists.
On Starter, MFA is a $5.00 a month add on billed annually, or $5.95 billed monthly. Parser version control, extended document retention and multi layout parsers are all separately priced too. A security review that assumes MFA is included will find the gap after the contract, not before.
The annual Starter card reads $32.50 next to 1,200 parsing credits per year. Those are different units on the same card. The $32.50 is a monthly figure billed annually, and the 1,200 credits are the whole year of allowance, so the real comparison takes a calculator.
Starter allows up to 15 parsers, Professional up to 50, Business up to 500 and only Enterprise is unlimited. Each distinct document layout normally needs its own parser, so a bookkeeping practice with 40 client vendors can hit the Starter cap long before it hits the credit cap.
The Parsing Assistant is listed at $149.00 per layout on every plan. Professional includes one free parsing setup. Everything after that is $149 a layout, which is a real line item on any project with more than a handful of document formats.
If the documents you need to process are receipts and supplier invoices rather than a hundred bespoke layouts, credits are the wrong unit to buy. Pages are the unit that matches the work. Upload the pile, look at the columns that come back, and export a spreadsheet without building a parser first.
The Starter plan is $49 a month for 2,500 pages, which is roughly two cents a page. A one page receipt costs one page of allowance instead of consuming a whole five page credit. Short documents stop being expensive.
Receipts and invoices are recognized by model, not by a rule set you train against a template. There is no per layout setup fee, no parser cap and no version control problem, because there is no parser.
Account security and document retention are part of the product rather than four separately priced line items you assemble on top of the plan card.
Vendor, date, invoice number, subtotal, sales tax, total and every individual line item come back as their own columns, ready for a ledger import rather than a downstream cleanup pass.

The plan card price is only the first of four numbers. Work through these steps with your own document mix and you will land within a few dollars of the real invoice instead of the headline rate.
Credits are consumed per document up to five pages, so a document over five pages costs more than one credit. Count monthly documents first, then flag anything routinely longer than five pages and add the extra credits it will burn.
Tip: If your average document is one page, you are paying for four pages of headroom on every single credit. That is the single biggest reason Docparser looks expensive on receipts.
Each document format normally needs its own parser. List the vendors or form types you will process and compare that count against the plan cap: 15 on Starter, 50 on Professional, 500 on Business, unlimited on Enterprise. Layout count, not volume, is what forces most upgrades.
Multifactor authentication is $5.00 a month on Starter. Parser version control is $8.33. Extended document retention is $16.62. Multi layout parsers are $25.00. Those are the annual billing rates. Monthly billing raises them to $5.95, $9.95, $19.95 and $29.95.
The Parsing Assistant is $149 per layout, with one free setup included on Professional. Add the plan, the add ons and the setup fees into a first year total, then divide by the documents you will process that year. That cost per document figure is the only number that compares Docparser to a per page tool.

The saving on Starter works out at 16.7 percent rather than 20, because $390 against $468 is $78. Professional and Business land at roughly 16.8 and 16.4 percent. Docparser says up to 20 percent, and up to is doing real work in that sentence.

Multifactor authentication as a $5 a month upsell on the entry plan is the detail worth flagging to whoever signs off on your security review. It is not unusual in this market, but it is the kind of thing that only surfaces after the plan has been chosen.

That table flips if your documents are long and highly varied. A firm processing five page structured forms across a handful of stable layouts gets real value out of credits, because it is paying $0.078 a page and reusing parsers it built once. The credit model punishes exactly one thing, and that thing is high volumes of short documents. Receipts are the worst case for it.
It depends on document shape far more than volume. Docparser is a genuine general purpose parser: it reads PDF, Word, CSV, XLS, TXT, XML and image files, exports to Excel, CSV, JSON, XML and Google Sheets, and connects to hundreds of integrations. If you have a stable set of structured layouts, a purchase order format, a lab report, a carrier manifest, and you are willing to build and maintain a parser for each, the per credit rate at Business or Enterprise volume is competitive.
