DocuPipe pricing has four plans. Starter is free with 100 credits a month plus 200 on sign up. Business is $99 a month for 2,500 credits with $0.08 per extra credit. Premium is $499 a month for 20,000 credits with $0.05 overage. Enterprise is quoted. The catch is that the usual workflow uses 3 credits per page, so Business covers about 833 pages, not 2,500.

Those plan figures come from the DocuPipe pricing page. Below is what a credit actually buys, what 500 to 25,000 pages a month cost on each plan, where Business stops making sense, and when a page priced tool is the cheaper way to get receipts and invoices into rows.

DocuPipe plans and prices

DocuPipe is an AI document extraction platform from Hoss Inc. All plans include full API access. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, and the pricing page advertises savings of up to 20 percent on yearly billing.

PlanMonthly priceCredits a monthExtra creditsNotable inclusions
Starter$0100, plus 200 on sign upNone, wait for reset or upgradeFull API access, no card
Business$992,500$0.08 eachEmail ingestion, multiple workspaces, data residency, HIPAA BAA
Premium$49920,000$0.05 eachPriority support, unlimited seats, shared workspaces, prod and dev environments
EnterpriseQuotedCustomVolume discountOn premises deployment, dedicated solution engineer, uptime SLA

Credits reset every month and do not roll over unless you are on an Enterprise contract. Directory listings such as G2, Capterra and TrustRadius copy the plan names and credit counts correctly, but none of them translate credits into pages, which is the number your budget actually depends on.

How many credits does one page use?

The most common DocuPipe workflow uses 3 credits per page: 1 credit to parse the document and 2 credits to standardize it into the fields of your schema. Parse alone gives you OCR text and tables. Standardize is the step that turns a receipt into merchant, date, tax and total, so almost every receipt or invoice job pays for both.

ServiceCreditsWhat it does
Parse1 per pageOCR, table extraction, checkbox detection
Standardize2 per pageExtracts structured fields using a schema
Review2 per pageHighlights where each extracted value came from
Schema1 per pageAuto generates an extraction schema
Analyze0.5 per pageFree text questions about a document
Split0.2 per pageSplits multi page files with AI
Classify0.1 per pageSorts documents into your types
Query2 per queryNatural language search over standardized data
Route1 per callMaps a document to the right schema

One rule matters a lot for receipts: every per page service has a minimum of 1 credit per document, whatever the fractional rate. Classifying a one page receipt therefore costs a full credit, not 0.1. A receipt that is parsed, standardized and classified uses 4 credits. Add Review so a person can see where each value came from and the same receipt uses 6.

What does DocuPipe cost per page?

At the plan allowance, Business works out to about $0.119 per page and Premium to about $0.075 per page for the standard parse plus standardize workflow. Past the allowance, each extra page costs $0.24 on Business and $0.15 on Premium, because overage is billed per credit and a page uses three of them.

Here is the full monthly bill at common volumes, calculated from the published rates with 3 credits per page.

Pages a monthCredits usedBusiness totalPremium totalCheaper planCost per page on the cheaper plan
5001,500$99$499Business$0.198
8332,500$99$499Business$0.119
1,0003,000$139$499Business$0.139
2,5007,500$499$499Break even$0.200
5,00015,000$1,099$499Premium$0.100
10,00030,000$2,299$999Premium$0.100
25,00075,000$5,899$3,249Premium$0.130

Business total is $99 plus $0.08 for every credit above 2,500. Premium total is $499 plus $0.05 for every credit above 20,000. Yearly billing discounts are not included, and neither is Review.

When should you move from Business to Premium?

Move to Premium at about 2,500 pages a month. At that volume Business costs $99 plus 5,000 extra credits at $0.08, which is $499, the same as Premium. Above 2,500 pages Premium is cheaper, and by 5,000 pages it costs less than half of Business. If you add Review to every page, the break even drops to about 1,500 pages.

The reverse mistake is also common. Teams sign up for Premium because 20,000 credits sounds like headroom, then process 1,000 pages a month and pay $499 for work that costs $139 on Business.

Is DocuPipe free?

The Starter plan is free with 100 credits a month and 200 more on sign up, no card required. At 3 credits per page that is roughly 33 pages a month after the first 66 or so, enough to build and test a schema but not to run receipts for a business. Starter has no overage, so processing stops when the credits are gone.

DocuPipe against ReceiptOCR, by volume

We sell receipt and invoice extraction two ways: a web app that exports Excel, CSV and QuickBooks files on every plan, and an API on the Pro plan. Our plans count pages, and a one page receipt uses one page. Starter is $49 a month for 2,500 pages on the faster Base AI model or 500 on the higher accuracy Pro AI model. Plus is $149 a month for 10,000 Base AI pages. Pro includes the API and is $499 a month for 35,000 Base AI pages or 8,000 Pro AI pages.

Pages a monthDocuPipe, cheaper planReceiptOCR web app with exportReceiptOCR API on Pro
1,000$139$49$499
2,500$499$49$499
5,000$499$149$499
10,000$999$149$499
25,000$3,249Pro plan$499

To be fair to DocuPipe: for an API under about 2,500 pages a month, Business is cheaper than our Pro plan, and at 2,500 and 5,000 pages the two cost the same. DocuPipe also reads almost any document you can write a schema for, offers a HIPAA BAA on every paid plan, is ISO 27001 certified and can be deployed on premises. If you are extracting medical referrals or long contracts, those matter more than price.

Where we win is receipts and invoices at volume. At 10,000 pages a month the API bill is $999 against $499, and at 25,000 pages it is $3,249 against $499. For a bookkeeper who wants receipts in a spreadsheet, our $49 Starter covers 2,500 receipts with export built in, while the same volume on DocuPipe is $499 before anyone writes the code that turns JSON into a ledger. If that is your job, start with the bulk receipt scanner; if you are a developer, the receipt OCR API page documents our endpoints.

Who should pay for DocuPipe?

DocuPipe fits teams with varied, long or regulated documents: healthcare intake, logistics paperwork, real estate files, contracts. A schema based platform earns its credit cost when no prebuilt model exists for your document. If the BAA is one piece of a wider HIPAA program, an AI compliance officer can track the obligations around the vendor, while DocuPipe handles the extraction.

It is a weaker fit when every document is a receipt or a vendor invoice. Those are the most common documents in finance, prebuilt extraction handles them well, and paying 3 credits a page for a custom schema makes each one expensive. Teams in that position usually compare receipt focused APIs instead, and our Mindee pricing and Tabscanner pricing breakdowns cover the two most common ones.

How does DocuPipe compare with other document APIs?

DocuPipe sits in the same price band as the newer parsing APIs, and like them its headline number hides a per page multiplier. Reducto charges different rates by endpoint, Extend by processing mode, and DocuPipe by service credits. Our Reducto pricing and Extend AI pricing breakdowns convert each to dollars per page the same way, and the OCR API pricing comparison puts every major vendor in one table per 1,000 pages.

DocuPipe pricing FAQ

How much does DocuPipe cost?

DocuPipe costs $99 a month on Business for 2,500 credits and $499 a month on Premium for 20,000 credits, with overage at $0.08 and $0.05 per credit. Starter is free with 100 credits a month. Enterprise is quoted. Because a standard page uses 3 credits, Business covers about 833 pages and Premium about 6,666.

What is a DocuPipe credit?

A credit is the unit DocuPipe bills every service in. Parsing a page costs 1 credit, standardizing it into schema fields costs 2, and Review costs 2 more. Each per page service has a minimum of 1 credit per document. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over except on Enterprise.

Does DocuPipe offer a discount on yearly billing?

Yes. The DocuPipe pricing page offers monthly and annual billing and advertises savings of up to 20 percent on the annual option. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time with no further charges, so the yearly discount is the trade for committing to twelve months.

Is there a cheaper DocuPipe alternative for receipts?

For receipts headed to a spreadsheet or QuickBooks, yes. ReceiptOCR exports Excel, CSV and QuickBooks files from a web app starting at $49 a month for 2,500 pages, with no code. For API use, DocuPipe Business is cheaper below about 2,500 pages a month, and our Pro plan is cheaper above 5,000 pages.
