Foreceipt Pricing and Subscription Cost for Every Plan

Foreceipt has three plans. Free covers 100 receipts, Individual is $5 a month billed yearly or $6.25 monthly for 200 receipts a month, and Business is $12 yearly or $15 monthly with unlimited receipts, QuickBooks Online sync and $72 a year for each member past two. What the Foreceipt Rate Card Leaves You to Work Out

Foreceipt is one of the cheapest receipt trackers sold in the US, and for a sole proprietor that is the whole story. The price moves once you add people, need QuickBooks, or have to get more than date, merchant and amount out of each receipt.

QuickBooks Sync Is Business Only

The Individual plan lists no accounting integration. QuickBooks Online sync appears on Business only, and the Foreceipt FAQ describes it as a QuickBooks Online integration. QuickBooks Desktop is not mentioned.

Every Member Past Two Costs $72 a Year

All three plans include 2 team members. Free and Individual allow no more. Business adds members at $72 per user per year, so a 10 person team pays $144 plus $576, or $720 a year, before anyone scans a receipt.

Individual Stops at 200 Receipts a Month

Individual is capped at 200 receipts a month. A small business with supplier invoices, fuel and meals can pass that in a busy month, and the next step up is Business, not a larger Individual.

Three Fields, Not the Whole Receipt

Foreceipt documents that its scan reads date, merchant and amount, plus separate sales tax fields for Canadian users. Line items from itemized receipts and supplier invoices are not listed as an extracted field.

No Refund Once You Pay

The pricing page states that no refund is offered once payment is processed. You can cancel at any time, but a yearly payment is a yearly commitment, so run the Free plan against real receipts first.

Exports Are Reports, Not Data Columns

Foreceipt exports PDF and Excel reports with summaries, detail entries and links to receipt images. That suits an accountant who wants a tidy report. It is a different output from one row per receipt with every field in its own column.

Foreceipt Plans and What Each One Includes

Three published plans in US dollars. The yearly toggle on the pricing page is advertised as a 20 percent saving, and the prices below show both billing options.

Free Plan With 100 Receipts

Up to 100 receipts kept for 12 months, 2 team members, phone scanning, batch scanning on the web portal, email forwarding and up to 10 PDF or Excel reports. It is a real trial, not a demo, and the right place to test accuracy on your own receipts.

Individual at $5 a Month Yearly

$5 a month on yearly billing, which is $60 a year, or $6.25 month to month. 200 receipts a month, 7 year retention, 2 team members and unlimited PDF and Excel reports. The pricing page notes it can only be subscribed to from the web.

Business at $12 a Month Yearly

$12 a month on yearly billing, which is $144 a year, or $15 month to month. Unlimited receipts, 7 year retention, QuickBooks Online integration, email and phone support, 2 members included and more at $72 per user per year.

Email Forwarding on Every Plan

Each user gets a personal Foreceipt address for emailed receipts, which land in the app marked unverified for review. That keeps online orders and subscriptions in the same place as paper receipts.

Bank Transaction Import

Every plan can import bank transactions in bulk from a PDF statement or a CSV file, with Free limited to 2 PDF statements. This turns Foreceipt into a light income and expense tracker, not only a receipt box.

Seven Year Retention on Paid Plans

Paid plans keep receipts for up to 7 years, which covers the usual IRS window for business records. The Free plan keeps them for 12 months, so it is not an archive.

How to Work Out Your Foreceipt Cost in Four Steps

Four numbers decide the bill: receipts a month, people who need access, whether you book into QuickBooks, and whether you will pay a year up front.

1

Count Receipts Per Month

Pull three months of card and bank activity and count every transaction that needs a receipt or invoice behind it. Under 200 a month fits Individual. Over 200 means Business.

Tip: Emailed receipts forwarded into Foreceipt count as receipts too.

2

Count the People Who Need a Login

Two members are included on every plan. A third person means Business, and each extra member adds $72 a year. An outside bookkeeper who needs access counts as a member.

3

Check Your Accounting Software

If you book into QuickBooks Online and want receipts pushed there, you need Business. If you use QuickBooks Desktop, Xero or a spreadsheet, the integration does not help and you will be exporting reports instead.

4

Decide What Data You Need Out

If date, merchant and amount are enough, Foreceipt is hard to beat on price. If you need subtotal, tax and every line item in their own columns for a batch of receipts or supplier invoices, price a per page extraction tool against it.

Foreceipt Pricing Tables and Cost per Receipt

Plan prices and limits come from the Foreceipt pricing page. The cost per receipt and team cost figures are our own arithmetic from those published numbers, shown in full so you can check them.

Sole Proprietors Under 200 Receipts

Individual at $60 a year is the cheapest paid receipt tracker we have priced. If you only need date, merchant and amount, stop here.

Small Businesses on QuickBooks Online

Business at $144 a year adds the QuickBooks Online push. It stays cheap as long as the team stays at two people.

Teams of Five or More

Member fees become the largest line. Ten people on Business cost $720 a year, and a tool priced by pages rather than seats can come out lower.

Bookkeepers Handling Supplier Invoices

Multi page invoices with line items need field level extraction to a spreadsheet or QuickBooks file, which is a different job from receipt tracking.

Foreceipt plans and prices

This is the full Foreceipt rate card in US dollars. Yearly prices are the monthly equivalent of one annual payment, and the pricing page notes that prices exclude sales tax.

PlanYearly billingMonthly billingPer year, yearlyReceiptsMembersQuickBooks
Free$0$0$0100 total, kept 12 months2No
Individual$5 per month$6.25 per month$60200 per month2No
Business$12 per month$15 per month$144Unlimited2, then $72 per user per yearQuickBooks Online

Paid month to month for a full year, Individual comes to $75 and Business to $180, so yearly billing saves $15 and $36. Neither saving is large enough to justify paying a year up front before you have tested the scan on your own receipts, given the no refund policy.

Foreceipt cost per receipt

Divide the monthly price by the receipts you actually process. This is our arithmetic from the published figures, not a Foreceipt number.

PlanMonthly priceAt 50 receiptsAt 200 receiptsAt 1,000 receipts
Foreceipt Individual, yearly$5$0.10$0.025Over the cap
Foreceipt Business, yearly$12$0.24$0.06$0.012
Foreceipt Business, monthly$15$0.30$0.075$0.015
ReceiptOCR Starter, yearly$24$0.48$0.12$0.024
ReceiptOCR Starter, monthly$49$0.98$0.245$0.049

On receipts alone, for one or two people, Foreceipt is cheaper than we are at every volume in this table. We are showing that plainly because it is true. Our Starter plan covers 2,500 pages a month on the faster model or 500 on the higher accuracy model, and it earns its price on what comes out of each page, not on the count.

Foreceipt team cost by number of members

Business includes 2 members and adds $72 per user per year. Our plans are priced by pages processed with no per seat charge, so the second column stays flat as the team grows.

MembersForeceipt Business, yearlyReceiptOCR Starter, yearly
2$144$288
4$288$288
5$360$288
10$720$288
20$1,440$288

The two lines cross at four people. Past that, the member fee on Foreceipt is larger than our whole Starter plan, as long as the team stays inside 2,500 pages a month. Above that volume the Plus plan is $888 a year for 10,000 pages.

Foreceipt against ReceiptOCR, honestly

These are different tools that overlap on one step. Foreceipt is a receipt and expense tracker. We are an extraction tool that turns receipts and invoices into structured data.

If you are one person tracking receipts for Schedule C, Foreceipt at $60 a year is the sensible buy and we would not talk you out of it. If you are a bookkeeper or a team that needs every field and line item in a spreadsheet, or a stack of supplier invoices turned into rows you can sort and reconcile, that is the job our receipt data extraction does, and the bulk receipt scanner takes a whole folder in one pass. Teams booking into QuickBooks can compare the QuickBooks receipt scanner route.

If you are pricing more than one receipt app, the same breakdown exists for WellyBox pricing, and receipt management software compares how the capture tools differ on collection, extraction and export. Smart Receipts, the other low cost phone app buyers weigh against Foreceipt, is priced plan by plan in Smart Receipts pricing and Pro vs Max cost.

Foreceipt Pricing Questions

Foreceipt costs $5 a month for Individual and $12 a month for Business when billed yearly, which is $60 and $144 a year. Billed monthly, Individual is $6.25 and Business is $15. There is also a Free plan for up to 100 receipts kept for 12 months.

Foreceipt has a Free plan with up to 100 receipts, 12 months of retention, 2 team members and up to 10 PDF or Excel reports. It has no QuickBooks integration. Paid plans start at $5 a month billed yearly and keep receipts for up to 7 years.

The Free plan holds up to 100 receipts, Individual allows 200 receipts a month and Business lists unlimited receipts a month. Emailed receipts forwarded to your Foreceipt address count toward the same limit as receipts scanned with the phone app.

Every plan includes 2 team members. Free and Individual do not allow more. Business adds members at $72 per user per year, so a team of 5 on yearly Business pays $144 plus $216, or $360 a year.

Yes, on the Business plan only. The Foreceipt FAQ describes a QuickBooks Online integration that syncs the chart of accounts and pushes receipts one at a time or in bulk. QuickBooks Desktop and Xero are not listed as integrations.

The Foreceipt pricing page states that no refund is offered once payment is processed. You can cancel at any time, and the subscription renews automatically unless auto renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Foreceipt reads the date, merchant and amount from each receipt, and supports separate sales tax fields for Canadian users. Line item extraction is not described in its FAQ, so check it on the Free plan if you need itemized data.

For one or two people who need receipts tracked and stored for taxes, yes, it is among the cheapest paid options. It gets more expensive per person as a team grows, and it is less suited to work that needs every field and line item exported as data.

Past four people, a tool priced by pages instead of seats usually costs less. ReceiptOCR Starter is $24 a month billed yearly for 2,500 pages with no seat charge, line items, and Excel, CSV or QuickBooks export. It is not a phone expense tracker.
